So the sex drive is in full gear and I need the lingerie to make it complete. Ohh… I love lingerie. It is a secret that makes you feel sexy and alive no matter what size you happen to be.  I also like the fact that it is practical – well most of the time.

Unfortunately every time I started looking for those delicate undergarments I would end up discouraged.  The models sexy and surgically altered bodies looked nothing like mine. After three kids and 50 lbs of weight gain, my bra size went from a perky 34C to a 38Long.

• If you are like most post-40 women, you now have the SAG.  Look for a bra with a satin shelf that comes just below your nipples. This way you can have perky breasts instead of ones pointing at your toes. The smaller lace bras are pretty but lack control and you will have them rolling up under your breasts and not looking too cute.
• Push those girls UP! I know the underwires are uncomfortable, but cleavage is better than downward pointing nipples. I look for push ups with padding on the lower corner of the cup. This gets the breasts moving in the right direction. Also look for straps that are medium thick to prevent those nasty ridge lines on your shoulders. A sexy cleavage will drive men crazy and since you have the extra weight you might as well put it to good use.
• Demi-cups are not for hanging with the kids. I love to wear my demi-cup bras when at the office or out with Roadie. But if you have to do a lot of bending over and picking up kids, your nipples will come falling out and putting them back into your bra in front of the kids is not pleasant.
• Front closure bras are only for play time. Those suckers lose their snap strength faster than a man can sneak a peek at your girls. Trust me on this. There are few things worse than sitting in a business meeting and having your bra pop open. Unless of course you are playing office in the bedroom.
• Go ahead and splurge to get the matching panties. Having matching lingerie is like being ready at the drop of a hat. Besides your mom would be proud if you got in a wreck and everything was matching.
