SHHHH… It’s a Secret

Shhh...Having trouble hiding those lingerie and erotica links on the family computer? Perhaps those naughty photos from the other night just keep popping up… Roadie! If you have prying eyes in your household just as I do, you have probably had a few close calls. I have developed a system for hiding my personal browsing from prying eyes.

Bookmarks can be hidden by creating a delicious.com account like mine for Awakening Tara. This handy online utility allows you to save bookmarks to a personal account. The bookmarks can be made public or they can be private. This is great becuase you can access these bookmarks from any computer or mobile device. If you leave them public, you can easily create an alias account to ensure your neighbors and friends don’t stumble upon your links.

Digital is the New Polaroids obviously. Okay so this is obvious and I won’t belabor the point. Just purchase an extra memory card so your intimate party pics don’t get mixed in with the birthday party pics.

Naughty Photos can hardly be hidden on your hard drive. So you have a couple of options for storing them in private. You can move them to a jump/flash drive which can be purchased from any office supply store for under $20. Using your USB port on your computer you can enjoy the photos without fearing they will be found by the kiddos. Just make sure the jump/flash drive is hidden well.

Option 2 on the photos is to create an account with one of the various online services. The photos can be marked as private and you can share the password with your partner. This is a little more risky because there are hackers out there that would love to put your booty on the internet.

Toy Chests are not just for kids. I have looked high and low for a decent locked storage box that does not scream “Sex Toys. Look Inside!” The best I have seen is a wooden lock box called the ToiBocks that looks like a jewelery box. It is available on Eden Fantasys and is a little pricey at $100. The advantage of this toy chest is that the lock uses a magnetic key so small children will have a tough time breaking into the box. Well worth it in my book.
